1. ~がある・いる。There + be + S（主語）

「~がある・~いる」など人や物の存在を表す時には There be + S（主語）のパターンを使って表現する。Be動詞は主語の数に合わせて単数または複数になる。ただし定められたものの存在を表す時には There の代わりに S + be を使う場合もある。

1. There are 3 windows in this room. = This room has 3 windows.
   ※ Be動詞の代わりに Have を使う場合もある。
